Frequently Asked Questions

How many dogs am I able to register with a residential license?

You may register up to three dogs with a residential licence. Anything more than that, you must apply for a kennel licence.

What are the benefits of licensing your dog?

Your licence proves ownership and helps the municipality's animal control staff and shelters to quickly identify your dog and return them to you safely. Dogs that are currently unlicensed tend to be kept in the shelter longer than licensed dogs.
